Daniel’s Place is a nonprofit providing respite care for individuals of any age with physical and intellectual disabilities, giving families the break they need.

“Our lives were changed when Daniel’s Place became an option for the children in our guardianship – and that is not an exaggeration. We had no idea how to function with one special needs child, let alone three. We exhausted our resources, and ourselves, trying to provide the best care for our kiddos. And then someone told us about Daniel’s Place. It was like a light in the darkness. Because of our guardianship situation, insurance-based respite was not feasible.”

"I was taking care of my 88 year old mother who has dementia, for over a year without any outside support. Once a week I got a four hour break when a house cleaning service came. It was not enough help, I was in need of respite and had yet to discover Daniel's Place. Through word of mouth I finally found what I needed. A break, or two, now three days a week. Truly this has been a godsend, and a miracle in my life.”
